Mohammad Qutb Aldeen

Hi, my name is Mohammad !

I am from Saudi Arabia. Before coming to Leeds, I studied Master of Science in architecture at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in USA. Also, I completed my undergrad in Islamic Architecture at Umm Al Qura University, Makkah, KSA. I am studying my PhD at the School of Civil Engineering, specializing in Architecture and Urbanism. I like how my supervisor encourages me to learn new things and to try new experiences to strengthen my self-esteem.  

In my spare time, I like taking walks around the city and exploring new things and places. I also like watching movies in my free time and chilling at home. I like to travel, learn and explore other cultures, try restaurants and food, and watch movies and TV shows, listen to music. 

The city of Leeds is a bustling metropolis with a wide range of attractions, including festivals, shopping, and sightseeing. I live in a private accommodation in the Leeds dock area which is south of city centre. The best thing about the area is if I decided to walk from my place to the university, it is a 30 minutes long walk. I highly enjoy my walks through the city centre as I often see sights like live music and other activities to and fro. Other times, I directly from my accommodation to the University. I like how the city is well connected by public transportation and is fun for walk as well.  

The Royal Armouries Museum is next to my building. It has different activities that make the whole area live with people. It changed my perspective about museums. Whenever, I am bored or have extra time, I will go to the museum and attend any activity available, which they offer all the times. I have tried archery, watched several historical plays and live music from my window.

There are several strong reasons why the University of Leeds is one of the most esteemed institutions in the UK. With top-notch facilities, teaching, and a focus to research, any student wishing to advance their education would do well to consider it. 

So far, I have had a wonderful time at the University of Leeds. With a strong emphasis on research and a highly qualified teaching staff, Leeds is one of the top universities in the world. Additionally, it offers excellent student support, which makes settling down much simpler. The ideal student-social life balance at the University of Leeds is one of the most fantastic things you will encounter there. You will have access to all the tools and assistance you need to succeed academically, but you will also be able to take advantage of Leeds's social and cultural offerings.
