Hello! I’m Mengjin, a third-year PhD student in the School of Education at the University of Leeds, where I focus on adolescent identity and drama education. I arrived in Leeds in 2023 from China, where I completed my BA and MA in Theatre Directing and Theatre Education at the Central Academy of Drama. From my very first day here, I was deeply touched by the warm support and thoughtful services provided to international students. I truly enjoy working alongside colleagues from all over the world, and I find immense value in helping new students feel at home.

The University of Leeds stood out to me for both its academic reputation and international student support.

The School of Education’s Childhood Studies is ranked No.1 in the UK, and the city itself is welcoming, affordable, and vibrant—perfect for international students.

I’m excited to continue offering this warmth and support to everyone joining our vibrant community! As a student ambassador, I’m thrilled to be part of your journey here. I truly believe this will be a shining chapter in our lives, and I look forward to helping you make the most of it!
