Fatema Al Shirawi

Hello! My name is Fatema, and I come from Oman. I’m in my second year of studying International Business and Finance at the University of Leeds, where I also did my International Foundation Programme.

I enjoy presenting and giving speeches as I find it easy for me to stand in front of a large number of people. Before coming to Leeds, I worked as an English teacher and motivational speaker. I look forward to starting my own business after graduation, which is the main reason why I chose to study my course. The best part about my degree is that you get the chance to explore a wide range of subjects which will help you to manage your business and win in the world of investments.

The Leeds University Business School (LUBS) is a great place to find same-minded students from different parts of the world and a start for tremendous future opportunities with a strong networking experience. At the University of Leeds, we have more than 300 societies to join, which is a good idea for making friends and connections. My favourite aspect of the university is the abundance of opportunities available to us as students, allowing us to develop ourselves in various ways.
