Hello reader! I’m Aryan Gupta, originally from Mumbai, India, and a MSc in International Marketing Management student at the Leeds University Business School. After completing my PGDM in Marketing Management from All India Management Association, a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Mumbai, and gaining two years of professional experience in marketing and analytics, I was eager to advance my understanding of global consumer behaviour and strategic brand communication.

Before arriving in Leeds, I worked as a Digital Marketing Analyst at Media.net and a Marketing Coordinator at OutServe Consulting, where I explored both the analytical and creative sides of marketing. Experiences like these gave me a deeper appreciation of how data and storytelling intersect to create impactful campaigns which something I’m now expanding further through my master’s studies here at Leeds.

I came to Leeds seeking an enriching academic environment and a chance to engage directly with the industry. My experience at the University so far has been nothing short of incredible. From the warm welcome by the international team to the vibrant events at Leeds University Union, I’ve felt part of a truly global communityfrom day one. I also had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with the International Office on an official social media project, becoming the first student to document their arrival journey from their home country to Leeds for the University’s Instagram page.

What I love most about Leeds is its perfect balance between a lively city atmosphere and a close-knit academic environment. Hyde Park, the Business School buildings, and the Trinity Shopping Centre have quickly become my favourite spots to unwind after lectures. Living at Tribeka has also made settling in much easier, just steps away from Morrisons, fast food joints, restaurants, theatres, shops, pharmacies, and pubs. Everything I need is within a five-minute walk. That ease of access means Leeds feels truly walkable, offering comfort and convenience while staying close to campus.

And the best part about studying at the University of Leeds? This place isn’t just a university city or a regular university; it’s a home away from home where people become like family.

Outside of academics, I enjoy photography, travel, and basketball, these are the hobbies that have helped me connect with students from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Studying here at the University of Leeds has truly been a transformative experience, one that’s preparing me to take on future roles in creative and strategic marketing on an international scale.
