Hello! My name is Adrian and I'm from Hong Kong.

I'm now studying International Foundation Year and pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with Transport. Captivated by the fusion of concrete, steel, and human aspiration woven into infrastructure that fuels the daily rhythms of cities and their people, I have always been in awe of transport systems and highway networks. I realized I had taken reliable and efficient infrastructures for granted when volunteering on the remote islands of Fiji and in villages in China. Since then, the simplicity of paved roads, well-connected bridges, and even clean toilets inspired my pursuit of civil engineering and drive to create accessible, sustainable built environments for communities and future generations.

The reason I chose the University of Leeds is because of its unique course in Transportation Engineering. I also believe that developing an intelligent city requires a multifaceted approach, integrating sustainable practices, advanced technology, and innovative designs. At Leeds, I look forward to learn about different transportation solutions that can reduce congestion and improve accessibility. Additionally, I am eager to collaborate with my peers and industry professionals to address the challenges of urban mobility and contribute to create eco-friendly transportation systems for the future.

I currently live in an off-campus private accommodation, a five minute walk from the city center and 15 minute walk from the university. In my spare time, I like to travel to different places and get to know more about how different transportation systems work in the UK.
